I get a real kick out of helping someone make their place of business or relaxation as unique as they would like. I have experience with a myriad of media and techniques that can be applied to any specific environment.

With consultation, research, and implementation within a specified budget I use my creative gifts as elements to meld with my client's vision and requests to exceed expectations from every perspective.

Ultimately for the business client the objective is to provide the customer with a pleasant experience and this is done by adhering to an appropriate aesthetic. For the home owner the experience is one of private contemplation, which can be enjoyed regardless of budget.

Smiths Bakery

In this image the main character is the bread, the sustenance of the business as well as the many customers who have come to know and look forward to the products of Smith's Bakery on Agricola Street, Halifax. This project presented many challenges in my attempt at realism. The project proved to be entertaining for customers, clients, and fellow artists. Through the patronage of the owner I was able to produce a viable interpretation that borders on narrative and product illustration. Carried out over a period of a few months each day brought a new viewing for the regular customers who engaged in conversation about the work at hand along with numerous other topics. This was an enjoyable experience for me. It is worth a visit to see the whole mural in context and perhaps have a lunch or coffee with great sweets.
